Blocking Highway 19 at certain times to blast rocks from October 24 to December 31

Project Management Board 2 said that the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 19, section Km90 - Km108 in Gia Lai province, has a length of 18km with a total investment of over 522 billion VND, expected to be completed on December 31, 2024.

The above project segment is constructed by the Joint Venture of Dai Phong Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company - Dong Do Group Joint Stock Company - Hiep Cuong Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Dai Phong - Dong Do - Hiep Cuong Joint Venture).

Up to now, the entire main volume on the route has been basically completed.

However, at Km 95+780-Km 95+860 of Doi slope, An Thanh commune, Dak Po district, during the construction of digging and lowering the old roadbed, a layer of bedrock appeared.

Although the construction unit applied measures such as using a hammer combined with baking powder, the implementation did not achieve the desired results. Therefore, the optimal solution is to break the rock by blasting at the locations.

Project Management Board 2 said that up to now, the construction unit has completed administrative procedures as well as safety plans during the process of breaking rocks by blasting method.

Accordingly, the expected time for blasting is within fixed time frames from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. from October 24 to December 31.

Speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper, a representative of Dong Do Group Joint Stock Company (the construction unit) said that the blasting project area is located on a road that is both under construction and being exploited.

Therefore, the unit has calculated the expected time of blasting within a fixed period of about 1 hour. When the weather and conditions are favorable, the authorities will order the blast to break the rocks.

One day before the blast, the authorities will be notified and will deploy plans to block off people from the dangerous area and ensure the safety of areas surrounding the project area...

During the blasting process of Highway 19 construction, the contractor commits to strictly comply with the approved documents and construction organization measures and ensure traffic safety, security and order, regulations on labor safety and environmental sanitation.
