This year, this park was chosen as the place to organize the spring flower street, serving the spring and Tet activities of locals and tourists.
The main gate of the spring flower street on Dien Bien Phu street has a grand scene with the theme "Hoi Long Van" meaning flying dragons, meaning dragons flying over the vast rice fields of Phu Yen, carrying the aspiration for a prosperous year, bountiful crops, and a developing homeland.
The image of a dragon's head, body, and scales in golden color, gentle during the day and warm at night, gives the viewer a feeling of lightness, flexibility, and peace.
Materials to make the dragon mascot include shaped iron, then covered with blinds, woven bamboo and rattan, and traditional handmade materials.
The "Hoi Long Van" mascot winds and glows golden at night when viewed from above.
The flower street area is nearly 4,000 square meters, the flower street length is 250 meters.
The total number of flowers used is 65,000 flower baskets of various types, with about 100 species of flowers of various colors.
The dragon mascot in the central position has the theme "Sitting on the mountain, facing the sea", leaning against the mountain, eyes facing the East Sea, gathering the vitality of heaven and earth, the mountains and hills shielding against the cold wind create a solid position for the mascot.
Phuong Linh, 22 years old, in Tuy Hoa city, commented that this year's dragon mascot in Phu Yen has high aesthetic value, majestic and strong demeanor.
Mr. Cao Dinh Huy, Chairman of Tuy Hoa City People's Committee, said that on New Year's Eve this year, at Ho Son Lake (next to Thanh Thieu Nien Park), fireworks will be set off to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.
