Activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the troop transfer to the North by cadres, soldiers, compatriots and students from the South in Quy Nhon (May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025)

Pursuant to Plan No. 45/KH-UBND dated March 7, 2025 and Document No. 3044/UBND-NCVX dated April 15, 2025 of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informs about a number of key activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the transfer of troops to the North by cadres, soldiers, compatriots and students from the South in Quy Nhon (May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025), specifically as follows:

1. Flower offering ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the transfer of troops to the North by cadres, soldiers, compatriots and students from the South in Quy Nhon (May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025)
• Time: 13:30, May 16, 2025
• Location: Quy Nhon Port Relic - Location of 300 days of troop transfer to the North (1954 - 1955), at Xuan Dieu Street, Quy Nhon City.

2. The 70th anniversary of the completion of the transfer of troops to the North by cadres, soldiers, compatriots and students from the South (May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025) and a special art program with the theme "Going out to keep the oath of unification"
• Time: 20:00, May 16, 2025
• Location: Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon City

The art program, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, gathered more than 250 artists, singers and actors, including famous names such as People's Artist Thu Hien, singers Trong Tan, Lan Anh, and the Binh Dinh Traditional Arts Theater.

The program includes 11 art performances and documentary films, recreating the historical journey from the Dien Bien Phu victory, the Geneva Agreement, to the sacred farewell moment when Regiment 803 - the last unit - left Quy Nhon port for the North. Special performances such as "Cau ho ben bo Hien Luong", "Love song", "Loi ca de Bac", "Bai song thong nuoc", "Viet chuyen hoa binh" ... are staged with rich emotions, combining music, dance and symbolic images such as the fluttering national flag, bright pink lotus, white dove, red silk ribbon ...

3. Display of thematic archives "Memories of youth gathering in the North"
• Time: From May 14 to 17, 2025
• Opening: 8:00 a.m. May 14, 2025
• Location: Truong Chinh Street area, Binh Dinh Provincial Convention Center, Quy Nhon City

This is an occasion to pay tribute to the previous generation who sacrificed and contributed to the cause of national reunification, while spreading the spirit of patriotism, solidarity and aspiration to build the homeland and country in the period of development and integration.
