Implementing Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 28, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of the province in the period of 2023-2025, on the morning of November 1, localities including Ha Long, Cam Pha, and Ba Che solemnly held a ceremony to announce the merger and adjustment of commune-level administrative units.

In Ha Long City, attending the ceremony to announce the merger of Yet Kieu ward into Tran Hung Dao ward were comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of departments, Ha Long City and a large number of cadres, party members and people of Yet Kieu - Tran Hung Dao wards.
According to the Resolution, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ha Long City is as follows: Merge the entire natural area of 1.65 km2 and population of 12,578 people of Yet Kieu ward into Tran Hung Dao ward.

After the merger, Tran Hung Dao ward has a natural area of 2.30 km2 and a population of 28,204 people. Tran Hung Dao ward borders Bach Dang, Bai Chay, Cao Thang, Cao Xanh and Hong Gai wards. After the arrangement, Ha Long city has 32 commune-level administrative units, including 20 wards and 12 communes.
Also on this occasion, the Ha Long City Party Committee announced the decision to establish the Tran Hung Dao Ward Party Committee under the Ha Long City Party Committee on the basis of merging the Yet Kieu Ward Party Committee into the Tran Hung Dao Ward Party Committee (old).
This is a historical event, a very important milestone for the Party Committee, government and people of Yet Kieu and Tran Hung Dao wards, and also a new mark of Ha Long City in the process of arranging administrative units to meet development requirements in the current period.

In Ba Che district, the district announced Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 28, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of the province for the period 2023-2025 on "establishing Luong Minh commune on the basis of merging the entire Minh Cam and Luong Mong communes"; announced the Decision on the establishment of the Luong Minh commune Party Committee, appointing 16 comrades to participate in the Executive Committee of the commune Party Committee, term 2015-2020.
According to Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15, the establishment of Luong Minh commune was carried out on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 33.16 km2, population of 633 people of Minh Cam commune and the entire natural area of 65.12 km2, population of 1,677 people of Luong Mong commune. After the establishment, Luong Minh commune has a natural area of 98.28 km2 and a population of 2,310 people. After the arrangement, Ba Che district has 7 commune-level administrative units, including 6 communes and 1 town.


In Cam Pha City, according to Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15, Cam Hai Commune and Cong Hoa Commune were merged into a new administrative unit, named Hai Hoa Commune, consisting of 12 villages with a natural area of over 96km2 and a population of over 5,600 people. After the arrangement, Cam Pha City has 15 commune-level administrative units including: 13 wards and 2 communes.
Cam Pha City Party Committee also announced the decision to establish Hai Hoa Commune Party Committee on the basis of merging Cam Hai Commune Party Committee and Cong Hoa Commune Party Committee.

In Mong Cai City this morning, Mong Cai City Party Committee also held a conference to announce the Decision to establish Tran Phu Ward Party Committee; Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of Tran Phu Ward Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025. This afternoon, the city will organize Ceremony to announce the merger of Hoa Lac ward into Tran Phu ward. According to the Resolution, the city merged the entire Hoa Lac ward into Tran Phu ward to form a new administrative unit named Tran Phu ward, with a natural area of 1.7km2 and a population of 11,830 people. After the arrangement, Mong Cai city has 16 commune-level administrative units including: 7 wards and 9 communes.
Thus, from today (November 1, 2024), Quang Ninh province has 13 district-level units, including 7 districts (Ba Che, Tien Yen, Binh Lieu, Hai Ha, Dam Ha, Co To, Van Don); 1 town (Quang Yen) and 5 cities (Ha Long, Mong Cai, Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu); 171 commune-level administrative units including: 91 communes, 73 wards and 7 towns.
