Beaches in Ba Ria – Vung Tau are frozen, many lost children are found

According to the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the total number of visitors for tourism, entertainment, and accommodation at hotels, tourist areas, and beaches in the area during the 5-day holiday (from April 27 to May 1) is estimated at more than 626,000, an increase of about 25% compared to last year's holiday. The total tourism revenue of Ba Ria - Vung Tau during the 5-day holiday reached nearly 669 billion VND, an increase of about 12.49% compared to last year's holiday, with room occupancy of about 80-95% in the whole province.

Accommodation establishments, hotels and resorts in the area welcomed more than 186,000 visitors, an increase of more than 49%, of which international visitors accounted for nearly 29,000, an increase of about 92.4%, revenue from accommodation was about 412 billion VND, an increase of nearly 12% compared to 2023.

Vung Tau City is still the top of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in terms of the number of visitors coming to play, swim and relax. During the 5-day holiday, Vung Tau City welcomed and served an estimated 300,000 visitors, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of visitors in the province, reaching 114% compared to last year's holiday, with revenue reaching 500 billion VND. The average room occupancy rate is about 70-80%, mainly concentrated on April 28, 29 and 30.

According to the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the hot weather makes the beaches in Vung Tau always crowded, however, there were no cases of people getting caught in whirlpools or being swept away from shore. There were 20 children who got lost while swimming in the sea and were found and handed over to their relatives during the day.
