On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Traditional Day Police On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on the afternoon of August 12, singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh officially released the MV "Swear for Peace", composed by musician Nguyen Van Chung.
The work is a simple and solemn tribute to the People's Public Security Force (PPP), depicting the enduring beauty, discipline and spirit of serving the people of soldiers in peacetime.
The inspiration for the song “Vow for Peace” came in the blazing April sun, amid the intense training days of the units participating in the A50 parade formation. After performing and interacting at the training ground, musician Nguyen Van Chung had the opportunity to closely observe the lessons, shooting and martial arts practice sessions, and the orderly footsteps. There, he saw the concentration, the persistent sweat, and the quiet pride on the faces of the young soldiers.
Those everyday details, not elaborate, no background, but enough to awaken the emotions and urge the artist to take up the pen.
According to the musician, the song was not born from a commission but from an inner urge when touching reality. That inspiration met the persistent creative flow of singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh - who has just released the project Continue Writing the Story of Peace , regularly visiting units and training grounds to sing, to listen and to empathize. At A50, Quynh's rustic voice resounded many times in the harsh sunlight, alongside the steady steps and loud shouts of the formation. It was there that the first notes of the song seemed to be "called out".
Musician Nguyen Van Chung shared: "I don't write with a template, but with what I see and feel. There were moments at the training ground that made me realize: A song must be a vow of peace, not just a praise" - Musician Nguyen Van Chung expressed.
When the audio version was completed, Nguyen Duyen Quynh could have stopped at a polished recording. But she chose a different path: bringing the song back to the space that created its emotions. For Quynh, "singing to show gratitude to the country" is not just a slogan, but a way to get closer to the stories of those in military uniform, and also a way for music to touch real life.
Swear for Peace was made as a "zero-cost" MV in terms of production cost but "priceless" in terms of emotion and consensus.
The product was made possible thanks to the dedicated support of many units in the force, so that the song did not stop at the audio version but was recreated in the very context where the emotions were born: the training ground, the classroom, the martial arts training ground, the shooting exercises, the command formation - where young people train themselves for the peace of the people.
The MV Nguyen The Vi Binh An was directed by Dang Xuan Truong, with a visual concept that emphasizes authenticity, restraint, and rich expression. The work has the official media sponsorship of the Sports and Culture Newspaper (Vietnam News Agency).
For director Dang Xuan Truong, the MV is not just a series of scenes illustrating the lyrics, but a short film with a strong cinematic quality, where images become emotional language, light becomes the material of memories and the editing rhythm closely follows the pace of the training ground.
The central image axis is the journey of a female CAND student – a symbol of today’s generation continuing the tradition. The character passes through learning and training spaces: theory classroom, shooting range, martial arts arena, command formation, parade square…
Director Dang Xuan Truong briefly shared about the creative spirit: "We did not recreate the heroism with a backdrop, but let the determination appear from the eyes, steps and sweat."
Behind the perfect image of singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh in the MV is the silent but fierce support of the staff, lecturers and students of the People's Security College I. They do not appear as just "actors", but are truly professional advisors, "keepers" of professional accuracy, and "teammates" on set.
