According to Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School (Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province), on the morning of October 29, more than 2,600 students (morning and afternoon shifts) of the school had to stay home from school due to flooding of the entire schoolyard.

The reason is that last night the flood water of Buong River rose, causing flooding in many residential areas and in the yard of Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School at a level of more than half a meter.

Phuoc Tan 1 Secondary School flooded more than half a meter

This morning, the water level continued to rise, causing flooding of over 80 cm, flooding all classrooms and some functional rooms on the ground floor.

Therefore, the school's Board of Directors reported to the local authorities to mobilize forces to support the school in moving many equipment in functional rooms to higher places.

Neighborhoods and houses in Phuoc Tan ward were heavily flooded.

At the same time, the school informed students to stay home to ensure their safety.

The school also informed parents to closely monitor their students at home to avoid accidents and injuries when floods hit residential areas.
