According to the Overall Project of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to preside over 7 tasks and coordinate the implementation of 2 tasks.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired the meeting to hear a report on preparations for activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to preside over 7 tasks, including:
Develop the script for the Celebration Ceremony, parade, and march to ensure it is concise, in accordance with regulations, and of national nature and scope; be responsible for the content of the Art Program before the Celebration Ceremony;
Preside over and coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City and relevant agencies and units to well organize special art programs that demonstrate national cultural characteristics, especially Southern culture;
Preside over and coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Vietnam Journalists Association to establish a Press Center and organize a press conference to propagate the event's anniversary;
Well manage the posting of propaganda information in the press and guide the grassroots propaganda information system;
Design logo, identity set for 50 years of Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification to send to agencies, units, and localities for propaganda and celebration work;
Make invitation list, issue cards, manage and guide reporters;
Direct localities to organize cultural activities, exhibitions, displays, film weeks, and sports tournaments to celebrate the anniversary;
The tasks assigned to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism include:
Coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Government Office, Ho Chi Minh City and relevant agencies to develop a Plan to organize the Anniversary Ceremony, parade and march;
Coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to manage the activities of foreign reporters; determine the working positions of reporters from domestic and foreign press agencies to report on the Anniversary, parades, marches and key activities.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong and leaders of a number of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported specifically on assigned tasks related to preparing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The Minister requested units to be proactive and make efforts to prepare activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
Giving his opinion at the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the amount of work needed to prepare activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is very large, so units need to further speed up the progress of assigned tasks.
Regarding the development of the operational script for the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march, the Minister said that this is very important content. After the Standing Secretariat, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission submit it to the Central Steering Committee for consideration and comments, the Ministry Office and the Department of Performing Arts need to closely coordinate with relevant units to implement it in a unified and methodical manner.
Regarding the Art Program before the Anniversary, the Minister requested a thorough review of the script and program content, and close coordination with relevant agencies to develop a program that is both political and artistic, meeting the requirements set forth.
The Minister also requested close coordination with Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of National Defense to calculate suitable venues and stages.
Regarding media and press work, the Minister assigned the Press Department to ensure good communication work for the series of events, coordinate with relevant units to conduct surveys and establish a Press Center, and issue cards for reporters. At the same time, organize activities and events at the Press Center well.
The Minister also assigned the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library to coordinate with units and localities to organize propaganda and agitation work; the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions to coordinate with agencies, organizations and localities in using the approved logo and identity set for the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day.
Appreciating the efforts of the units in preparing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Minister once again emphasized that there is still a lot of work to do, so the units must be proactive, make more efforts, and coordinate closely to successfully complete this very important task./.
