Ministry of Education and Training plans to organize special opening ceremony

The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a plan to organize the 80th anniversary celebration and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year.

The opening ceremony of the new school year will be associated with activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training).

As planned, the ceremony was solemnly held to spread the glorious historical tradition of the education sector, the spirit of innovation and creativity, towards an effective and quality school year.

Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training will hold the opening ceremony at the National Convention Center at 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. on September 5.

All kindergartens, general education schools, vocational schools, and universities will hold opening ceremonies at the same time as the Ministry of Education and Training's anniversary celebration.

"The ceremony will connect online to all educational institutions from kindergarten to university (public and non-public) across the country via television waves and transmission infrastructure provided by the telecommunications unit," the plan stated.

It is expected that the ceremony will invite General Secretary To Lam and leaders of the Party and State; representatives of leaders of departments, ministries, branches and organizations at the Central level; secretaries of 34 provinces and cities directly under the Central level; leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training and all civil servants of the Ministry of Education and Training; directors of the Departments of Education and Training of 34 provinces and cities.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates and guests will review the 80-year tradition of the education sector, listen to the speech of Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, and speeches by representatives of outstanding students.

In particular, according to the plan issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, it is expected that teachers and students nationwide will hear the speech and drum beat to open the new school year 2025 - 2026 by General Secretary To Lam.

On August 11, the Ministry of Education and Training issued the 2025-2026 school year schedule for preschool education, general education and continuing education nationwide and the expected high school graduation exam schedule for 2026.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training requires that students return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. For grades 1, 9, and 12, they must return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day.
