Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital transfers interventional cardiology techniques to Tien Giang General Hospital

Speaking at the opening of the program, Prof. Dr. Ta Van Tram, Director of Tien Giang General Hospital, shared about the development journey of the Interventional Cardiology Unit over the past 3 years (2020 - 2023), with the guidance of experts from University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, successfully performed hundreds of coronary angiography, coronary intervention and pacemaker implantation cases, saving the lives of many patients in and outside the province.

Professor Ta Van Tram would like to thank the Board of Directors and the medical staff of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City for their dedication, from surveying, assessing the current situation, giving advice in the process of preparing medicines, equipment, medical supplies, etc., to training human resources in the form of hands-on instruction. Up to now, the team of doctors, nurses and technicians of Tien Giang General Hospital has become more mature and professional in treating and caring for patients.

At the ceremony, Professor, Doctor, Doctor Truong Quang Binh, former Deputy Director of University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, congratulated Tien Giang General Hospital for completing the interventional cardiology technology transfer program, which is the foundation for the hospital to continue developing scientific techniques related to coronary arteries.

Professor Truong Quang Binh thanked the team directly involved in the transfer work, for actively transferring even during the difficult period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the future, he hopes that both units will become partners in expertise, scientific research and always provide the best medical services to patients.

At the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital awarded a certificate of completion of the transfer of cardiovascular intervention techniques to Tien Giang General Hospital. At the same time, Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in the transfer and implementation of cardiovascular intervention techniques in the period 2021-2022.
