The Department of Artificial Kidney, Provincial General Hospital is providing periodic artificial kidney dialysis for nearly 180 patients. Due to the limitations of the current dialysis filter membrane, medium or large sized isotopes accumulate in the patient's body for a long time, causing a series of difficult-to-treat complications, such as: cardiovascular, anemia, uremic malnutrition, itchy skin, resistant hypertension, sleep disorders, bone disorders, uremic encephalopathy...
To treat complications, many new dialysis techniques have been developed, in which resin adsorbent materials are designed with small-sized adsorption pores, thus having the ability to selectively adsorb toxins of high uremia syndrome, substances with medium and large molecular weight, especially substances bound to proteins produced during the artificial kidney treatment process in patients with end-stage chronic kidney failure.

Therefore, when applying the technique of combining artificial kidney (HD) and blood adsorption (HP) with blood adsorption device to filter blood for dialysis patients, it will help reduce short-term and long-term complications and improve the quality of life for patients.
