Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health orients An Binh Hospital to focus on 3 major areas to soon reach the specialized level:
Enhance specialized capacity: Strongly develop key specialties of grade I general hospitals such as cardiology, endocrinology, artificial kidney, general surgery, and orthopedic trauma surgery.
Developing the foundation in depth: To ensure sustainability, the hospital needs to firmly build the foundation specialties including emergency, resuscitation, infection control, clinical nutrition, pathology, diagnostic imaging, etc. At the same time, promote the application of modern technology such as putting into operation advanced operating rooms, automatic testing systems, modern diagnostic imaging techniques to improve accuracy and shorten diagnosis and treatment time.
Strengthening cooperation in training and scientific research: Closely cooperate with end-line hospitals and specialized universities in training and transferring advanced techniques. Gradually develop into a clinical practice facility for medical students, while promoting scientific research, linking training with treatment practice.
Phase 2 of An Binh Hospital has a scale of 2 basements, 12 floors, a total construction floor area of 22,241m² along with modern equipment with a total investment of nearly 600 billion VND. The construction has been completed and connected to the phase 1 building, creating a spacious An Binh Hospital.
