Caught red-handed transporting 1,490 packs of smuggled cigarettes

Previously, while patrolling National Highway 80, in Group 8, Tan Hung Quarter, Vinh Thong Ward, the police force discovered a young man driving a motorbike at high speed, showing many suspicious signs, so they asked to stop the vehicle for inspection. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle contained 1,490 packs of smuggled cigarettes.

At the commune police station, the subject confessed that his name was Huynh Minh Nhat (born in 2000, residing in group 3, My Lo quarter, Ha Tien ward), hired by a person (unknown background) to transport the above cigarettes from Ha Tien to Rach Gia. On the way, he was discovered and caught red-handed by the police force.

Vinh Thong Ward Police are continuing to investigate, clarify the violation and handle it according to the law.
