Caught red-handed possessing 7 packages of heroin in Sa Pa town

The authorities requested to stop the vehicle and check the vehicle. Through the inspection, they discovered and caught red-handed the subject Tran Van Liem, born in 1971, permanent residence in Thanh Xuan Bac Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City (current residence is Group 1, Lao Cai Ward, Lao Cai City) carrying 7 packages of heroin with a total weight of 29.23g. The authorities drew up a record and took the subject to headquarters for investigation and clarification.

At the police station, Liem confessed: Because he had been addicted to drugs for many years, he hired a taxi from Lao Cai city to Sa Pa town to buy drugs from a man (unknown identity) for the purpose of use. However, while on the way to Lao Cai city, he was checked and arrested by the police.
