Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has just announced the recruitment of lecturers for the faculties of Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology.

Lecturers are responsible for teaching, undergraduate and postgraduate training, scientific research, leading/participating in topics/projects, and publishing international scientific articles. The school will recruit lecturers with a master's degree or higher, with priority given to candidates with a doctorate and foreign degrees.

In this recruitment round, the school announced information about lecturers' income. Teachers will receive salaries based on coefficients and seniority from 7 million VND for PhDs and 14.5 million VND for professors and associate professors. Actual receipts include: State salary, salary according to job position, benefits during holidays and Tet and other support programs.

PhDs with less than 3 years of work experience have an average income of 35 million VND/month, those with 3 years or more have an average income of 45 million VND/month. Professors and associate professors have an average income of up to 85 million VND/month.

In addition to the teaching position, the school also recruits teaching assistants with bachelor's and master's degree candidates. The average state salary + job position salary + benefits is over 15 - 16 million VND/month, not including year-end bonus.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thien Phuc, Vice Principal of the University of Technology, said that this is the first time the school has publicly disclosed the income of its lecturers. The school tries to pay good salaries to attract and retain talented people, worthy of the effort and intelligence that the teachers put in.

According to Mr. Phuc, the University of Technology currently has 621 lecturers. Of which, 65% have a doctorate degree or higher. When recruiting, the school prioritizes candidates who have graduated from abroad, have the ability to teach in English (at least B2 level), do scientific research...
