Bao Viet Insurance estimates to pay 573 billion VND in compensation for damage caused by storm in Quang Ninh

Storm No. 3 (Yagi) made landfall, causing serious damage to the property of people and businesses in the province. Faced with this situation, Bao Viet Quang Ninh and Bao Viet Dong Bac ( 2 member units of Bao Viet Insurance Corporation) promptly took action, closely coordinating with customers to assess the damage and develop timely compensation plans.

As of September 17, the storm and its aftermath have caused serious damage to Bao Viet Insurance customers, with a total of 904 claims, with an estimated total compensation of VND955 billion.

In Quang Ninh, there were a total of 238 compensation cases recorded by Bao Viet Quang Ninh and Bao Viet Dong Bac, with the total initial estimated compensation amount of 573 billion VND. The main damages to customers include: vehicles, houses, construction works, factories, warehouses, machinery and equipment, wharves and goods.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on promptly paying insurance contracts, on September 16, leaders of Bao Viet Insurance Corporation and its member units in Quang Ninh directly went to the scene for appraisal, directed and urged the team of appraisers in Quang Ninh to quickly carry out appraisal work and develop compensation plans for customers, especially in areas with many large losses affecting general economic activities, such as: Sun World Ha Long Amusement Park, Hon Gai International Passenger Port, LPG Liquefied Gas Warehouse in Quang Yen Town...

Currently, Bao Viet Quang Ninh and Bao Viet Dong Bac are urgently carrying out the work of determining the damage and guiding customers to provide documents for timely provisional compensation. Bao Viet Quang Ninh and Bao Viet Dong Bac encourage customers affected by the storm to contact the offices of the two units directly to complete the appraisal procedures, ensuring compensation rights in the shortest time, contributing to economic recovery in the locality.
