Ms. Ngo Thi Quy (54 years old, in Hoai Chau commune, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province), mother of new student Tran Thi My Dien, said that today she was very happy to take her daughter to receive the scholarship. Dien was admitted to the University of Economics of Da Nang.
From 2am, Mrs. Quy and her son got up and took a bus to Quy Nhon City, then went with Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union to Nha Trang.

Nguyen Thi Xuan Canh lives with her mother, Do Thi Son (64 years old), who sells bananas, and her younger brother in Trung village, Dien Lam commune, Dien Khanh district (Khanh Hoa). The whole house is filled with poverty as her mother works hard to take care of her mentally ill younger brother Canh. Her mother's back is bent over the years.
Last July, Xuan Canh's father also passed away due to a serious illness.
After graduating from high school in 2013, Canh failed the university entrance exam. A year later, Canh continued to study and passed the entrance exam to study Oceanography at the University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City National University.
In December 2015, Canh decided to drop out of school. She returned to her hometown and worked as a tutor, teaching secondary school children to help her mother raise her younger siblings.
After that, she continued to review and passed the entrance exam to the Mathematics Pedagogy major (Khanh Hoa University) in 2017.
Thinking that his studies were going smoothly, Canh fell into depression due to thinking too much about life. Canh decided to drop out of school in December 2023.
This year, Canh was admitted to Dalat University. Canh's younger brother, Nguyen Dinh Sang (25 years old), had been to university, but only for 4 months.
