Apple’s M3 Silicon chip includes a 16-core Neural Engine optimized for “running AI models,” along with an integrated GPU that supports 3D imaging. The new MacBook will feature a 1080p Facetime camera, three microphones, and support for Dolby Atmos audio. In terms of appearance, the device is less than 20mm thick.

The base 13-inch MacBook comes with a 30W USB-C power adapter, while most upgraded versions will come with a 35W dual-port charger or a 70W adapter. For an additional $20, users can upgrade the 256GB storage version to a 35W dual-port adapter or a 70W adapter.

Both models come with 8GB of RAM, but customers will have to pay an extra $200 for 16GB and $400 for 24GB. You can also upgrade the base 256GB SSD to 512GB for $200, 1TB for $400, and 2TB for $800.

Like the MacBook Air M2 released in 2022, the M3 models include the Magic Keyboard with full function row Touch ID. The MacBook Air M3 comes in four color options: starlight, space gray, and silver. There’s also a midnight blue color that’s anodized to reduce fingerprints.
