Marie Curie School has just announced that it will waive tuition fees for students who have completed 12 years of study at the school.
According to the announcement, in the 2014-2015 school year, the school was allowed to establish Marie Curie Primary School. The first graders that year will move up to grade 12 in the 2025-2026 school year. The first 39 students to complete 12 years at the school will be exempted from tuition fees for grade 12.
Accordingly, students studying in traditional classes are exempted from 36 million VND in tuition fees (3.6 million VND/month x 10 months); students studying in international standard English classes are exempted from 48 million VND (4.8 million VND/month x 10 months).
Of the 39 12th graders next year, 7 will take traditional classes and 32 will take international standard English classes. The school has set aside nearly 1.8 billion VND to exempt students from tuition fees.

Speaking to VietNamNet , Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khang, Chairman of the Marie Curie School Board, said that this decision simply came from his feelings for the special generation of students. “From 1992 to 2013, Marie Curie School only had 2 levels: junior high school and high school. It was not until 2014 that the school was able to build a new facility in My Dinh (Hanoi) and asked for permission to establish an additional primary school level. This is the first generation of students to enter primary school at the school and study for a full 12 years. This is just a special feeling to encourage students and parents,” Mr. Khang shared.
Mr. Khang said that he also wrote a notice to each student’s family. “After receiving this information, parents and students were very surprised and excited,” Mr. Khang said.
Mr. Khang also expressed his hope that the students will study hard and achieve the best results in the high school graduation exam next year.
