With the completion of the Literature exam in the morning and the English exam in the afternoon of June 9, nearly 40,000 candidates taking the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year completed the first day of the exam safely, seriously, and effectively.

Records at the testing sites show that the organization of the test was carried out seriously; security, order and safety both inside and outside the testing area were ensured. According to the candidates' assessment, the test was relatively suitable for students, closely following the knowledge and skills standards in the 9th grade program, and at the same time had high differentiation.

Information from the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training said that the first day of the exam was safe, serious, and in accordance with regulations. The exam papers were printed completely and clearly. No unusual incidents occurred.

At the end of the exam this afternoon, the whole province was absent with 135 candidates; 2 candidates who violated the exam regulations were suspended from the exam (1 candidate at the Ham Rong High School Examination Council was suspended from the exam for bringing a phone into the exam room; 1 candidate at the Tinh Gia 1 High School Examination Council was suspended from the exam for using documents). The percentage of candidates taking the exam was 99.66%.

Thus, on the first day of the exam, 3 candidates were suspended from the exam. No staff or teachers participating in the exam violated the regulations. Security and order at the exam councils were ensured.

Tomorrow (June 10), candidates will continue to take the final Math exam, with a duration of 120 minutes.
