After nearly 2 years of implementing the model "Mobilizing religious people and people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals", in Yen Khanh district, many residential areas have effectively implemented it.

The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with the movement of joining hands to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in Khanh Cu commune has been implemented and achieved many outstanding results. The commune's Fatherland Front Committee has coordinated with member organizations to propagate and encourage people to actively participate in building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas through many practical and meaningful actions, in which implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals has been responded to and strictly followed by the people.

Comrade Dinh Duc Anh, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Cu commune, said: From the pilot model "Mobilizing religious people and people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals" in Thong 1 village, up to now, the influence of the pilot model has had a positive impact on the movement to build "New rural cultural residential areas" and "New rural cultural families" in the commune. Local people have welcomed and responded positively with specific actions to build a civilized lifestyle in residential areas. Every year, in the commune, there are 3 festivals: Xuan Duong village festival, Yen Khe Ha village festival and Yen Cu village festival. The festivals attract a large number of people and tourists, always ensuring strict compliance with the provisions of the law on religious beliefs as well as State management of festival organization. Weddings and funerals are carried out on the basis of local customs and practices, without superstition or backward customs... From the initial model in one village, up to now all 11/11 villages have implemented a good civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Chon, Party cell secretary, head of the Front Committee of Thong 2 village, said: To build a model new rural residential area, Thong 2 village has propagated, mobilized and mobilized people to participate in many projects and tasks to complete the criteria. In particular, implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals has received high approval from the people. It is clearly recognized that if we continue to follow the old lifestyle such as: holding banquets for many days, scattering money along the road, loudspeakers playing past the prescribed hours..., we will not meet the criteria of a model new rural residential area. Therefore, people in the village have raised their awareness and clearly understood their responsibilities in complying with regulations to build a "New Rural Cultural Residential Area" and "New Rural Cultural Family". The weddings have complied well with the requirement of setting up a wedding tent that does not affect the traffic safety corridor, loudspeakers playing at the prescribed hours; Funerals respect traditions and customs but still ensure environmental hygiene, no money is scattered, and do not last more than 48 hours...

In Yen Khanh district, implementing Plan No. 135/KH-MTTQ-BTT dated March 15, 2022 of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee on deploying the construction of a pilot model "Mobilizing religious compatriots and people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals", in April 2022, the Yen Khanh District Fatherland Front Committee launched the construction of a pilot model "Mobilizing religious compatriots and people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals" in village 3 , Khanh Trung commune; directing the Fatherland Fronts of communes and towns to build and register to build pilot models in residential areas in the district.

People in the district have actively participated in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas with specific activities such as: beautifying from house to alley, joining hands to contribute to making village roads and alleys bright-green-clean-beautiful, building tree-lined roads, flower-lined roads, lighting up rural roads; helping each other develop family economy, replicating models and typical examples in residential areas to improve people's income and life; practicing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals...

In particular, since 2022, the district Fatherland Front has promoted the pilot model "Implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals", then expanded it to residential areas. With practical and popular content, the model has received high support and active participation from the people.

Regarding weddings, many families have organized tea parties instead of salty parties; implemented good environmental sanitation and food safety; did not use the road beyond the permitted area; did not take advantage of the wedding to gather to drink alcohol or gamble. Regarding funerals, they were organized thoughtfully, solemnly, respectfully, civilly, economically, in accordance with national cultural traditions; paid attention to implementing the form of cremation, electric cremation or one-time burial in the planned cemetery area; did not use funeral music or compressed speakers before 6am and after 10pm. Festivals in the area were maintained, contributing to promoting the cultural values ​​of the nation.

The results from implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals have contributed to improving the quality and effectiveness of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in Yen Khanh district. Currently, the district effectively maintains 19 pilot models of "Mobilizing religious people and people to implement civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals" in residential areas.
