Regarding the invigilator being accused of going into the restroom to take photos of the 10th grade exam papers of candidates, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, said: "Every year, in the provinces, there are many exams taking place, we will work closely to minimize errors or violations."
According to Mr. Tuan, in recent days, the press and social networks have reported that a supervisor was accused of forcing a candidate to take his exam paper early into the restroom to take a photo. Regarding this, the province is requesting verification and clarification.
“This is an issue that affects social psychology. The province’s stance is to handle it strictly and not cover up if violations are discovered. When we have official information, we will make it public,” Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh People's Committee said that the incident was very sensitive, so there must be a verification process and a general review of the entire examination council.
"The students are in their teens, so we are very careful in the verification process, so as not to affect their psychology," Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan informed.
The entrance exam for grade 10 of Bac Ninh province's public high schools took place on June 6 and 7.
After the exam, a parent posted on social media that the invigilator asked the candidate to take the math test paper out of the exam room. The invigilator then took the test paper into the bathroom, closed the door, and took a photo with his phone, saying he would "take it home for reference."
