TPO - Due to the frequent congestion at the Trung Hoa intersection and Khuat Duy Tien Street - the direction from Thang Long Avenue to the Ring Road 3 elevated road, the Department of Construction has just assigned relevant units to cut the median strip to widen the intersection and the roadway by more than 3 meters.

Traffic Police Team No. 6, Hanoi Traffic Police Department said that the main cause of traffic congestion at the Trung Hoa and Khuat Duy Tien intersection is that, along with the high traffic density, a large number of trucks and passenger cars from Thang Long Avenue are pouring in, then "cutting across" the intersection to get to the elevated road. This situation has caused conflicts and traffic congestion.

This has made the Trung Hoa intersection, Khuat Duy Tien street in the center direction of the intersection - the elevated road ramp of Ring Road 3 always crowded and vehicles have to queue up to wait to get on the elevated road.

Faced with the above reality, to expand the intersection and reduce conflicts, the Department of Construction has just issued a document requesting the Traffic Works Maintenance Board (a unit under the Department of Construction) to cut the median strip to expand the Trung Hoa intersection.

On Khuat Duy Tien Street, responsible units are implementing a plan to remove the median strip in the direction of Khuat Duy Tien - Thanh Xuan Street, widening the road from 3 to 3.2 meters.

According to the reporter's records, although the median strip of Khuat Duy Tien Street has been cut several times to widen the roadway, up to now, the median strip here is still 7 - 10 meters wide, ensuring the cutting and widening of the roadway at the current stage.

After completing the median strip as planned, the Trung Hoa intersection and Khuat Duy Tien street towards Thang Long avenue to the Ring Road 3 elevated road will be widened by 3 to 3.2 meters (one more lane); helping vehicles to move quickly when passing through the Trung Hoa intersection and Khuat Duy Tien street.
