On June 7, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and FPT Television Company Limited (FPT Play), a member of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company, officially entered into comprehensive cooperation and announced the television broadcasting rights for tournaments involving the National Team for 4 years, from 2023 to 2027.

Sharing a common vision in the goal of developing Vietnamese football, VFF and FPT Play have signed a comprehensive and long-term cooperation agreement.

Not only marking a new milestone in the effort to find and mobilize maximum social resources for football, this event also reaffirms FPT Play's role as a pioneer in television copyright work, contributing to the growth of the National Team.

Accordingly, all international matches with the participation and competition of the national team, held in Vietnam, whose television rights are owned by VFF, will be produced and broadcast live by FPT Play on the following infrastructures: terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public screening and exploitation on social networks...

Expressing his confidence in the good cooperative relationship between the two sides, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation affirmed: “With the advantage of being the unit that simultaneously holds the broadcasting copyright of national professional football tournaments and many other international tournaments of the continent in recent years, FPT Play is a reliable partner, with full potential and experience in implementing the above tasks.

I believe that VFF and FPT Play will bring special football experiences to fans across the country in the near future."

With many matches to be held in Vietnam every year, domestic audiences will have the opportunity to watch matches of the Vietnam National Men's Football Team, Vietnam National Olympic Men's Football Team, Vietnam National U23 Men's Football Team and Vietnam National U22 Men's Football Team for 4 consecutive years from 2023 to 2027 on FPT Play as well as on other TV channels and application platforms.

In addition, in order to strengthen the close bilateral cooperation, with the position of the leading technology group in Vietnam, we will coordinate with the Federation and support the Digital Transformation of the Federation's activities in the coming time", Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Chairman of FPT Telecom and Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation in charge of Digital Transformation affirmed.

In the immediate future, VFF has confirmed with FPT Play the matches within the framework of the first year of cooperation. In June, FPT Play will broadcast live the friendly match between Vietnam and Hong Kong (China) from Lach Tray Stadium, Hai Phong on June 15 and the match between Vietnam and Syria from Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh on June 20.

And in September, 3 matches of the Vietnam U23 National Team in the 2024 U23 Asian Qualifiers will also be sent to fans by FPT Play on all of the unit's platforms.

FPT Play's representative also said that the unit is ready to negotiate and make every effort to create all conditions to share benefits related to copyright of matches with the participation of the Vietnam National Team to all media units nationwide.
