On October 1, at Quang Trung Primary School (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District held the opening ceremony of the lifelong learning week 2024.

With the theme "Developing a reading culture to promote lifelong learning", the Lifelong Learning Response Week in Hoan Kiem district has many rich activities in schools and communities, such as: Book fair, introducing new books; writing, drawing, storytelling competitions; seminars to share experiences on renovating school libraries and developing a reading culture in schools and communities; organizing classes to educate students on reading skills, methods of collecting and processing information...

The theme of Lifelong Learning Week was clearly reflected in the ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee Trinh Hoang Tung affirmed: With the tradition of studiousness, the Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations of Hoan Kiem District always thoroughly grasp the policy of the Party and State, joining hands to "Build a learning society, ensuring that all people in the district have equal opportunities in learning and training".

According to Vice President Trinh Hoang Tung, in the current context, when knowledge becomes the decisive factor for the sustainable development of each individual as well as the whole society, encouraging and creating conditions for everyone, from students to the elderly, to participate in the lifelong learning process is extremely necessary.

At the ceremony, students of Quang Trung Primary School introduced the book Thang Long-Ha Noi: glorious pages of history against foreign invaders. The students transformed into historical figures, from national heroes to important figures in history, reenacting important events. From there, they conveyed the message of patriotism and pride in national culture, in the thousand-year-old land of Thang Long-Ha Noi. This performance was not only attractive but also highly educational, making the students remember history longer.
