Hosting Hong Linh Ha Tinh at home in the quarter-finals of the 2023 National Cup, Topenland Binh Dinh took the initiative to control the ball and create a superior attacking game. In the 11th minute, from a corner kick, Van Thanh turned and shot into the far corner of Hong Linh Ha Tinh's net, opening the score for the home team.

Before the first half ended, striker Ha Duc Chinh passed the away team's defenders and fired a shot but was blocked by goalkeeper Thanh Tung. Immediately, player Rafaelson rushed in to score a rebound, helping Topenland Binh Dinh lead 2-0.

Difficulties piled up for Hong Linh Ha Tinh when player Van Hanh was shown a red card by the referee after a foul on Rafaelson in the 70th minute. Despite playing with one less player, the away team still played with determination and scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 84th minute from the penalty spot thanks to Diallo. In the final minutes of the match, Hong Linh Ha Tinh put a lot of pressure on but goalkeeper Dang Van Lam played well to preserve the 2-1 victory for Topenland Binh Dinh.

In the quarter-final match taking place at the same time, Phu Dong FC traveled to the away field to meet Dong A Thanh Hoa. The home team had difficulty finding the opening goal when goalkeeper Van Cuong played focused. However, it was Van Cuong who committed a foul in the penalty area against Quoc Phuong, causing Phu Dong FC to concede a penalty. Taking the lead in the 39th minute, the representative of V-League 2023 played confidently in the second half, but missed many opportunities and won 1-0 overall.

Thus, the 2023 National Cup has determined the two teams participating in the semi-finals: Topenland Binh Dinh and Dong A Thanh Hoa. On the evening of July 11, the two remaining quarter-final matches will take place between Hoang Anh Gia Lai-PVF People's Public Security, Viettel FC-Nam Dinh Blue Steel.
