Determine 8 pairs of matches in the round of 16 of EURO 2024

On the night of June 26 and early morning of June 27 (Vietnam time), the remaining 4 matches of the EURO 2024 group stage took place, ending half of the tournament in Germany.

From 24 teams, at this time, 8 teams had to return home, while the 16 teams that won the right to continue have determined their opponents.

The teams with tickets to the next round include Germany, Switzerland (Group A), Spain, Italy (Group B), England, Denmark, Slovenia (Group C), Austria, France, Netherlands (Group D), Romania, Belgium, Slovakia (Group E), Portugal, Georgia (Group F).

The teams that had to return home included Hungary, Scotland, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic.

The 16 teams that will advance include the 12 teams that finished in the top two positions of the six groups and the four teams that received tickets through third place with good results.

At the end of the group stage, EURO 2024 has determined the 8 matches in the round of 16. As in previous tournaments, after the end of the group stage, the first match of the round of 16 will be played the following day. That is, there is no break between the 2 stages.

But at EURO 2024, there will be a break of about 2 days at the end of the group stage. That ensures the players have time to recover.

EURO 2024 will return on June 29 with Switzerland v Italy in the first round of 16 match. The matches will continue until July 3, with a two-day break before the quarter-finals.
