Spain, Scotland and Türkiye become the next 3 teams to qualify for EURO 2024 in Germany.
The Spanish team extended their winning streak with a 1-0 victory away to Norway in the 7th match of Group A of the EURO 2024 qualifiers.
Young star Gavi became the hero of the "Bulls" when he scored the only goal in the 49th minute to help the home team win all 3 points.
The important victory helped the Spanish team get 15 points like the Scottish team (after 6 matches), 5 points more than the 3rd ranked team Norway (having played 7 matches).
This also means that Spain and Scotland have officially won tickets to the EURO 2024 finals.
In Group D, the Turkish team had their second consecutive victory when they easily defeated the Latvia team 4-0 at home.
All four goals scored by Türkiye came in the second half, respectively by Yunus Akgun, Akturkoglu and Cenk Tosun (double).
This victory officially helped the Turkish team enter the list of teams that won tickets to Germany to attend the EURO 2024 finals.
The Turkish team has 16 points, 6 points more than the two teams behind, Wales and Croatia, so in the last two rounds, even though all 3 teams above have 16 points, Türkiye is still ranked 2nd thanks to the head-to-head record.
The official ticket to represent Group D to attend the biggest football festival in Europe next year will be the competition between Wales and Croatia.
Wales are currently on 10 points with Croatia but are ranked higher and have the right to decide their own fate thanks to a better head-to-head record.
Previously, EURO 2024 also determined the 3 names that won the right to participate including France, Belgium and Portugal.
The French team quickly qualified for EURO 2024 with an impressive performance, winning a full 18 points after 6 matches in Group B.
Belgium is the first team in Group F to advance. The Belgian team has 16 points after 6 matches, 10 points more than the 3rd ranked team Sweden (having only played 5 matches but the absolute number of points won is 9).
The remaining direct ticket of Group F is temporarily in the hands of the Austrian team. This team is 7 points ahead of Sweden despite playing 1 more match.
Meanwhile, in Group J, the Portuguese team also advanced after a 3-2 victory over Slovakia thanks to the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo.
After 7 matches, coach Roberto Martinez won 21 absolute points, 10 points more than the 3rd ranked team Luxembourg while there are only 3 more matches left in Group J.
