Vietnam U20 women's team has excellently qualified for the final round of the Asian U20 Women's Championship after easily passing the qualifying round. Coach Masahiko and his team won all 3 matches against U20 Kyrgyzstan, U20 Singapore and U20 Hong Kong (China). Thanks to that, we ranked first in Group B with 9 points.

We have reached the final round with 11 other teams: North Korea (Group A winner), Australia (Group C winner), India (Group D winner), China (Group E winner), Japan (Group F winner), Uzbekistan (Group G winner), South Korea (Group H winner), Jordan, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei (Best Second Group Winner) and host Thailand.
In particular, U20 Bangladesh is a rookie of the tournament when participating in the tournament for the first time. Meanwhile, U20 Jordan also returned to the U20 Asian Women's Championship for the first time after 20 years.
Notably, the AFC U20 Women's Championship also serves as the qualifying round for the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup. The top four teams in the tournament will represent Asia at the World Cup in Poland next year.

The 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Championship finals are scheduled to take place from April 1-18, 2026 in Thailand. At this time, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has not yet determined the draw date for the tournament.
Japan U20 is the most successful team in the tournament with 6 championships. Of which, the North Korea U20 team is the current champion of the tournament. The best achievement of the Vietnam U20 women's team was winning 6th place in the tournament in 2011. In the previous tournament, the Vietnam U20 women's team was eliminated right from the group stage after losing all 3 matches against North Korea, Japan and China.
