After many hours of effort, the Vietnamese engineering team, along with Turkish and Myanmar rescue forces, successfully reached and brought the 26-year-old man trapped after the earthquake out safely.
This person has been transferred to a medical facility for health care.
Previously, according to information from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense rescue team in Myanmar, at noon on April 2, while carrying out rescue work at Ottara Thiri Hospital, Naypyidaw capital, Myanmar, the Vietnamese military rescue team received information that an earthquake victim was trapped in the rubble but was still alive.
Immediately, the Vietnamese rescue team sent a 6-member engineering team to coordinate with the rescue forces of Türkiye and Myanmar to find a way to rescue the victims.
When rescuers arrived at the location where the victim was trapped, the victim was still able to speak and said he was fine, only lacking food and water.
