Accordingly, Taipei is the latest destination for VNGGames' Game Studio outside the Vietnamese market, after Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Shanghai, and Beijing. Before the official opening on May 19, 2023, VNGGames has been operating in Taipei since June 2021 to seek new opportunities as well as release some game titles in this market.

Mr. Kelly Wong, Deputy General Director of Online Games at VNG, shared: "Taipei is an important location in VNGGames' "go global" strategy and this is also a key market for role-playing games, which has been a core part of VNGGames' DNA since its early days. Opening a new office in Taipei is a serious commitment and investment of VNGGames to the market and its human resources here."

Mr. Kelly Wong added that another key factor that made VNGGames choose Taipei was the high-quality human resources in the online gaming industry. They not only support VNGGames' business development in Taipei but also expand to other regions in Asia.

In Taipei, VNGGames made its first mark when it successfully launched the game Gunny Origin in 2022 - reaching the Top 2 position on the chart of highest-grossing games on iOS in Taiwan. This milestone is an important premise for VNGGames to promote its long-term development plan in Taipei as well as expand its game publishing model in foreign markets.

"Our long-term goal is to become the leading game publisher in the Taiwanese market," said Mr. Chu Cheng Yuan, Director of VNGGames Taipei Studio.

Besides Taiwan, VNGGames has also "encroached" the markets of Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East; and successfully released 41 game titles in the global market. VNGGames also invests resources in Game Studios specializing in researching and self-producing mobile games for release to the international market.
