TPO - Viettel has just signed a major commercial contract to provide the Private 5G System to its partner United Telecoms Limited (UTL Group), one of the largest corporations with the capacity and experience in researching, manufacturing, and deploying products in the telecommunications sector in India with more than 60% market share of the national transmission network.
The signing ceremony took place in Malaysia, within the framework of the Asian Defense Conference (DSA 2024) and the Asian National Security Conference 2024 (NATSEC) in which Viettel represented Vietnam.
Viettel representative said that this contract affirms the competitiveness of Viettel High Tech products in the Indian market, which is a large market with the highest level of competition in the world. At the same time, it opens a channel to access new product groups, government customers, through the current customer network of partner UTL.
UTL currently operates in over 60 countries in the areas of Telecommunications - Information Technology, Research and Development, E-Government, is a pioneer in providing mobile services in India, as well as a leader in applying technology to create Digital Government for this country.

Mr. Raja Mohan Rao Potluri, Chairman of UTL Group, shared that Viettel has a complete solution for 5G connection, UTL will take on the role of connecting, cooperating, and promoting product trade.
He emphasized that Viettel's competitive advantage is its willingness to cooperate in all aspects, from technical support services to production and even product research and development.
UTL and Viettel High Tech discussed the next steps of the Contract in the context of developing new features necessary for 5G Private as well as Public Network.
Viettel will provide the 5GP system to UTL within just 3 months, the transfer process will be carried out anytime, anywhere. Viettel's goal is to quickly provide a comprehensive solution, helping UTL quickly grasp market opportunities, thereby promptly providing services to customers in India and neighboring countries.
Previously, Viettel pioneered the deployment of the first complete 5G Private network in India and handed it over to its partners in December 2023, just 5 months after signing the service contract. Currently, this 5G Private system has been operating stably, fully meeting the requirements and playing an important role in promoting 5G products to business customers.
