The new 5G chip was introduced by Viettel at the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 (VIIE 2023). This chip line plays the role of processing 5G DFE algorithms, controlling all operations of the 5G RRU (signal receiving/transmitting unit) as well as high-speed communication with other 5G processing units. The 5G DFE chip has a level of complexity equivalent to the Apple A7 chip, with a computing capacity of 1,000 billion calculations/second.

Mastering the chip design process is an important step for Vietnam to enter the global semiconductor industry.
