Vietnam drops 7 places in Tourism and Travel Development Index

Specifically, Vietnam's TTDI reached 3.96/7 points, ranking 59th out of 119 countries and territories. In the ASEAN region, Vietnam ranked 5th after Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Including the Asia-Pacific region, Vietnam ranked 11th.

The lowest-scoring index of Vietnam's tourism industry is tourism service infrastructure, with only 2.2 points (ranked 80/119). Meanwhile, the well-rated indexes include: Security and safety, price competition, natural resources, cultural resources...

TTDI is a comprehensive report, consisting of 5 groups with 17 indicators to assess the tourism and travel industry development capacity of 119 countries and territories. This is considered a prestigious scoring tool for stakeholders to evaluate the progress of tourism development in countries as well as decide to invest in the tourism sector at a destination.
