To demonstrate goodwill and responsibility, Vietnam has notified relevant countries about submitting the Submission on the Extended Continental Shelf Boundary in the Central East Sea area through diplomatic channels.

On the afternoon of July 18, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to reporters' questions regarding Vietnam's recent submission of the Extended Continental Shelf Boundary in the Central East Sea area, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated:
Vietnam's position has been clearly stated in the Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Vietnam's Submission on the Limits of the Extended Continental Shelf beyond 200 nautical miles in the Central East Sea area.
And to demonstrate Vietnam's goodwill and sense of responsibility, Vietnam has informed relevant countries about this issue through diplomatic channels. The exchanges have all taken place in a sincere, friendly and frank atmosphere.
All countries recognize and respect Vietnam's right to submit a Submission on the Extended Continental Shelf Limits beyond 200 nautical miles in accordance with the provisions of Article 76 of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
Also at the press conference, answering a reporter's question about Vietnam's reaction to the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump at a campaign event on July 13, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said:
Vietnam’s top leaders have sent their condolences and wishes for former President Donald Trump’s full recovery. We also take this opportunity to express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims./.
