Musician Duc Tri's live concert Co doi lan is the biggest concert of his career so far. The concert will take place on the evening of October 5 at Military Zone 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.

The 10 guest singers will include Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Le Hieu, Lan Nha, Thuy Chi, Van Mai Huong, Trung Quan, Anh Tu, Phuong Thanh and a mysterious guest.

On the afternoon of September 18, musician Duc Tri met with the press in Ho Chi Minh City to introduce the music night.

Ho Quynh Huong and Ho Ngoc Ha will stand out, My Tam will be absent.

Talking about the intention of organizing a music night, Duc Tri shared that after the COVID-19 period, he realized that he made music for others too much and had not yet organized his own show.

His first concert at Cu Lan Village, Da Lat in 2022 had 1,000 spectators, 60% of whom flew in from Hanoi.

In 2023, when he turned 50, he successfully organized the music night Like a Wandering Wind at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.

After those two concerts, many people wondered why Duc Tri had not yet done a separate show in Ho Chi Minh City. He explained that doing a show in Ho Chi Minh City would be a loss because the purchasing power was not as high as in Hanoi and Da Lat, as if "The Buddha in the temple is not sacred".

But finally, he is about to have his own music night in Ho Chi Minh City, where he was born and raised. In the music night Co doi lan , Duc Tri chose to focus on Ho Quynh Huong and Ho Ngoc Ha, two singers who are very charming to him.

"Every time I organize an event, there is always the question of why this person or that person is not there. The answer is very simple: it is impossible to invite all of them," he said.

When asked why My Tam was not present even though she sang many of Duc Tri's songs, the musician said she had participated in a music night in Hanoi in 2023. When inviting singers, he chose the songs and also had to balance them with their schedules.

Phuong Thanh and her relationship with Duc Tri

Initially, Phuong Thanh was one of two mysterious guests. But the organizers decided to reveal it early because it was too predictable.

Phuong Thanh was moved to tears when she sang the song Khi giac mo ve by Duc Tri at the event. She shared: "25 years ago, I met musician Duc Tri. That was fate."

At that time, Phuong Thanh was active in the Sao Dem trio with a vibrant, "screaming" style. But Duc Tri let her sing the song Chiec ao ba ba, which has a folk song.

Since then, Phuong Thanh has listened to Duc Tri very much and still does so today, thanks to which he has composed and produced many hit songs for her.
