On the afternoon of November 28, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vung Ro wharf receiving the first shipment of the unnumbered ship, in Tuy Hoa City (Phu Yen), the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations in collaboration with the Oriental Development Research Institute organized a trip to the source and an exchange with historical witnesses who made the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea.
At the exchange, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Ho Dac Thanh, former captain of ship 41 with 12 times commanding unnumbered ships transporting weapons to the South; Major Ngo Van Dinh, former soldier of the Vung Ro wharf protection unit - K60, head of the Vung Ro unnumbered ship wharf Liaison Committee, and historical witnesses who were former officers and soldiers directly on ship 41 shared touching stories.
Must preserve history for the younger generation
Listening to the stories of former soldiers on the unnumbered trains, actress Hanh Thuy confided that she is a person "sensitive" to history.
Because history is something everyone must remember.

Coming to Phu Yen, the actress was not only impressed by the people but also by the relics and destinations such as Vung Ro wharf, Go Thi Thung tunnel, Uncle Ho's church...
“The two days I spent with the group, I always wanted to cry. I felt very appreciative of what our ancestors left behind. They talked about their work as if it had just happened recently, which made me very respectful and appreciative,” said actress Hanh Thuy.
The actress also worries that young people will gradually forget the history of their ancestors. That further urges artists on each trip not only to collect enough materials but also to express history in an attractive and diverse way.
“I always encourage my students to choose to act in plays or historical figures of Vietnam so that they can understand and love history better,” Hanh Thuy said.
Should build Ho Chi Minh Road tourist route at sea
Professor Trinh Quang Phu, director of the Oriental Development Research Institute, said that the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail is one of two legendary routes that led to the nation's victory.
He hopes that when artists come to Phu Yen and the historical site of Vung Ro, they will have more documents, interesting stories, and emotions, and from there create valuable historical works of art to pass on to future generations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga - Director of the Truth National Political Publishing House branch in Ho Chi Minh City - was moved to have the opportunity to join the proud atmosphere of the living witnesses who created the Ho Chi Minh trail at sea.
After the trip, the artists, journalists, and photographers in the group will have more inspiration to create many works to serve the audience, especially works about history and national traditions...
Ms. Nga also expressed her wish to build a Ho Chi Minh Road at sea tourist route connecting the journeys from Hai Phong, where the unnumbered ships departed, to cargo receiving ports such as Vung Ro (Phu Yen), Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ca Mau... because each destination has its own historical stories and values.
