Mr. Lieu Tri Tai, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Region 15, said that recently, credit institutions in the province have proactively balanced capital sources, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to access capital for production and business. Loan plans and projects that fully meet the conditions are considered and disbursed promptly. Bank capital has made an important contribution to stabilizing the economy , maintaining production and business activities of people and businesses in difficult market conditions.

Agribank Ca Mau prioritizes more than 80% of capital for the agricultural sector.

To date, total outstanding credit in the area has reached VND 122,240 billion; of which, outstanding loans for business households and individuals have reached VND 83,773 billion, accounting for 68.53% of total outstanding loans.

As a leading commercial bank in the agricultural sector, Agribank Ca Mau Branch has had many solutions to accompany people in rural areas. Mr. Do Thanh Tinh, Director of Agribank Ca Mau, shared: "We have identified the agricultural sector as the focus of service, currently the total outstanding loan in this area is more than 80%. Agribank has implemented preferential credit programs, simplified procedures, strengthened connections with associations, unions and local authorities to create conditions for people to easily access capital".

Agribank has issued many preferential credit packages, simplified loan procedures, shortened appraisal time, supported production planning and restructured debt repayment terms for customers affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

Despite strong support, the agricultural sector still faces many difficulties: unstable consumption market, high input material prices; many households lack collateral and are not familiar with credit records; climate change, saltwater intrusion, and natural disasters reduce productivity, affecting people's income and debt repayment ability...

Accompanying people to overcome difficulties, Agribank has issued many preferential credit packages, at the same time simplified loan procedures, shortened appraisal time, supported production planning and restructured debt repayment terms for customers affected by natural disasters and epidemics. In addition, the bank also promoted the application of digital technology in credit activities, creating conditions for customers to register for loans quickly and conveniently. It is expected that in the third quarter of 2025, customers will be able to register for loans directly on the mobile application.

Mr. Lieu Tri Tai emphasized that in the coming time, the banking sector of Region 15 will continue to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the State Bank of Vietnam to effectively implement socio-economic growth targets. Specifically, the banking sector will promote credit growth, prioritizing capital for small and medium enterprises, production households, key economic sectors such as shrimp, crab, OCOP products... Strengthening the connection between banks and enterprises with diverse forms, especially bilateral connections with the supervision of the State Bank.

Maintain a hotline, publicize and make transparent credit conditions so that businesses can understand and proactively complete loan applications. Implement credit policies of the Government and the Prime Minister, especially preferential credit for the agricultural and green economic sectors. Continue to propose financial mechanisms and institutions to support the private economic sector to improve its access to capital from banks, the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Fund, and the Development Investment Fund.

With the continuous efforts of the banking system, along with close coordination with the government and the business community, credit activities in Ca Mau province are showing remarkable effectiveness. This is an important resource to help maintain economic recovery momentum, sustainable rural development, contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals in the new period.
