According to PhoneArena , Apple's Notes app is one of the core apps on iOS, and is also a prime example of the power of the Apple ecosystem.
The app has seamless syncing across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, supports a wide variety of content formats, and other useful features. Unlike other note-taking apps that sync across multiple devices, Notes is completely free.

But since Apple released iOS 17, the app has been crashing for many users, with complaints piling up on tech forums (like Reddit) for months. So far, there’s been no viable solution to fix the issue.
The issue seems to lie with iCloud syncing, specifically most users who have encountered this issue have reported that when iCloud syncing is turned off, the app works fine. But as soon as the feature is turned back on, the app crashes after opening for a few minutes, leaving users unable to write new notes or search and view old notes.
Users have tried various ways to fix the problem, and a few seem to have success, with things like tapping and holding the icon, then selecting Scan document. Others have also suggested deleting the app and reinstalling it.
Or users can submit a ticket to Apple for support, which will somewhat notify the company that this is a major problem and will soon resolve it for users through a software update.
