Increase "realistic" experience for students

At the National Economics University's public conference held today, November 2, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the school's Training Management Department, said that from this school year, the school has innovated the training program, including many teaching contents for students of the 66th course (enrolled in 2024), after receiving feedback from partner businesses.

According to Mr. Duc, at last year's industry conference, the school received many comments from businesses and recruitment organizations about some contents or activities to help make the training program more practical and effective. In particular, many comments suggested that the school should continue to strengthen training linked to practice to create conditions for learners to have more opportunities to experience reality, practice, and apply the knowledge learned to solve situational exercises, contributing to increasing the "real-life" nature of students.

Taking this opinion into account, the National Economics University has included in all regular university training programs (applied from course 66, which is the course enrolling in 2024) the "Practical Topic" course, consisting of 4 credits, to increase the practical content in the training process. The school will organize training for this course for students through building and developing a team of lecturers from outside organizations and businesses, improving the effectiveness of case studies.

Add a course on data science

The school has also included in the training program a new subject called "Basic Data Science in Economics and Business", consisting of 3 credits, with training content suitable for students of each training group. The subject will equip students with basic knowledge and skills about data, technology, engineering, etc. All students of course 66 will study this subject.

This is the content that accepts the opinion that "schools need to equip students with more basic knowledge and skills necessary to adapt to the requirements of the digital economy and digital society" from technology experts. At the same time, the school has also researched and integrated many software into teaching and learning (lecturers and students are given accounts): comprehensive management software for businesses (Company Management); accounting solution software (AccountingSuite); Enterprise technology platform...

The school has also invested in purchasing about 20 software with a budget of tens of billions of VND to serve teaching, learning and scientific research. Building programs and organizing short-term training courses on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence applications for students (courses with the participation of large enterprises such as VNPT AI, ...): basic data science and AI; business data analysis; reporting and visualization of business data ...

In addition, the National Economics University also builds and organizes second foreign language training to create more advantages and differences for students. Initially, the school organized second foreign language teaching with 3 foreign languages: Chinese, Korean, Japanese; these second foreign language classes have attracted hundreds of students.
