The first school in Hanoi to give teachers the highest Tet bonus of over 35 million VND

According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Principal of MVLomonosov Secondary and High School, this year the school agreed to give teachers a Tet bonus of 1 month's salary, calculated by the average income in 12 months of the calendar year 2024.

It is expected that the average Tet bonus for teachers will be 22 million VND/person, the highest will be over 35 million VND. "This is a worthy reward for the hard work and dedication of teachers over the past time," he said.

The principal also added that this Tet bonus is not really high because the school has 12 days off for Tet, so teachers' income in January 2025 will decrease. The school does not pay a fixed salary per month but calculates the salary based on the number of teaching hours multiplied by the salary, so 12 days off will reduce income. He hopes that the Tet bonus will support a little bit for those days off.

According to the latest announcement from Lomonosov Primary, Secondary and High School, the Lunar New Year holiday is from January 22 to February 2, 2025, that is, from December 23 to the 5th day of Tet. Students will return to school on Monday, February 3, 2025 (the 6th day of Tet). The total Tet holiday is 12 days.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade announced a Tet bonus of VND25 million/person for all lecturers, staff, and leaders. Employees who have worked for a year or more, including those studying abroad or during maternity leave, will receive the above Tet bonus. In addition, the school will give each person a lucky money of VND3 million at the beginning of the new year.

This bonus level is similar to last year. With about 800 lecturers and staff, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to spend more than 20 billion VND. The school's Lunar New Year holiday lasts 28 days, from January 20 to February 16, 2025 (ie December 21 to January 19).
