On the afternoon of October 23, Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on transferring cadres to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Chi Linh City Party Committee.

Accordingly, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tuan Hung, Chief of Hai Duong City Police, was transferred to work at the Chi Linh City Party Committee, appointed to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Chi Linh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and introduced to the City People's Council to elect him as Chairman of the Chi Linh City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

In the afternoon of the same day, the People's Council of Chi Linh city held its 19th session, electing Deputy Secretary of the Chi Linh City Party Committee Nguyen Tuan Hung to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Linh city with an absolute number of votes.

The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Chi Linh City, Nguyen Tuan Hung, said that the new task is both an honor and pride, but also a heavy responsibility in the face of increasingly high demands for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; for Party and government building work of a Chi Linh city that is on the rise, aiming to become a cultural, service, tourism, smart urban area, developing high technology and a type II urban area before 2030.

On the same morning, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province announced the decision on personnel work of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province for Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Chief of Chi Linh City Police, who was accepted to work at the Office of the Provincial People's Committee and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee.
