Awarding startup ideas and launching the Mekong Delta Creative Student Village

On November 14, Tra Vinh University coordinated with the Mekong Delta Student Startup Support Network to organize the final round of the startup competition "2nd Mekong Delta Student Startup Ideas - INNOBE, 2023" and launched the Mekong Delta Student Innovation Village.

This year's INNOBE final round has 17 best HS ideas and 30 SV ideas out of 93 competing ideas.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mekong Delta Student Startup Support Network, said that INNOBE 2023 is a useful playground, promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of students. Along with that, it is building close relationships between universities, colleges, and secondary schools, developing cooperation and harmoniously complementing members in the network to maximize the existing resources of each organization in supporting startups. In addition, it also connects members to carry out international projects and research on innovative startups. INNOBE is not only an opportunity for students to demonstrate their abilities but also to learn, develop skills, realize their ideas and find a career path in the future.

Also at this event, the organizers launched the Mekong Delta Student Innovation Village. This will be an important hub in forming and developing an innovative startup ecosystem at universities, colleges and high schools in the Mekong Delta. At the same time, it is also a "playground" to connect experts, investors, and startup ecosystems in localities; creating opportunities to support students who are passionate about startups...

At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the HS category with the idea of "Producing organic food from fermented durian peel powder combined with local ingredients and raising ducks using organic methods" by the author group Vo Phuong Thuy. The first prize in the SV category was awarded to the idea of "A system for posting information about hotel and motel services" by the author group Vu Tuan Anh from Can Tho University of Technology.
