General Secretary To Lam attends the handover ceremony of the Bac Bo Phu Building, No. 2 Le Thach (Hanoi)

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on the morning of August 19, in Hanoi, General Secretary To Lam attended the handover ceremony of the Bac Bo Phu Building - Project to renovate, repair, upgrade and build a new headquarters of the Office of the President, at 2 Le Thach, Hoan Kiem (Hanoi).

Also attending the handover ceremony were comrades: Luong Cuong, Politburo member, President; Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat; Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Inspection Commission ; Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Party Central Committee member, Vice President; comrades of the Party Central Committee, leaders of departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, and Hanoi city.

At the handover ceremony, General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong, along with other leaders, officially cut the ribbon to inaugurate and receive the handover of the Bac Bo Phu Building.

The Bac Bo Palace Building, at 2 Le Thach, Hoan Kiem, is not only a special historical witness of Hanoi and the country, but also the place where President Ho Chi Minh worked in the first days of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

In order to renovate and restore a historical and key construction serving the Government's high-level internal and external activities, the Project to renovate, repair, upgrade and build a new office of the President's office at 2 Le Thach was implemented, with the goal of preserving and honoring the nation's precious historical values, while contributing to creating an architectural symbol worthy of the position of the Capital and the nation.

After 7 months of work, urgent construction and responsibility of the investor, consulting unit, construction unit and related agencies, the project was completed according to the set plan. This is the result of close coordination between units in the restoration and reconstruction of a project with profound historical significance.

The handover of the Bac Bo Phu Building marks the moment when a historical heritage is restored, opening a new chapter for this iconic project. With its new look, the Bac Bo Phu Building will contribute to creating green space, marking a new beginning in the journey of bringing cultural and historical values to the Vietnamese people and the country in the new era./.
