Inauguration of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge connecting Dong Thap - Vinh Long

Rach Mieu 2 Bridge across Tien River has a total investment of more than 6,800 billion VND, started construction in March 2022, and is now officially completed. The project is more than 17 km long, the starting point connects Dong Tam intersection (Dong Thap), the end point connects National Highway 60 ( Vinh Long ), nearly 1 km from Ham Luong Bridge.

Attending the ceremony were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh , along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committees of Dong Thap and Vinh Long provinces and representatives of central and local departments and branches.
Mr. Nguyen Tam Thinh, the contractor representative, said that this is the most difficult bridge in Vietnam. While Rach Mieu 1 Bridge took 7 years to build, Rach Mieu 2 Bridge only took nearly 3 years, 6 months ahead of schedule. To ensure progress, 1,200 workers worked 3 shifts continuously, including holidays and Tet.
Construction begins on the expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway
The project to expand the first section of the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway in an emergency form, upgrading it to 8-10 lanes with a total investment of more than 16,000 billion VND.
The extension section is nearly 22 km long, from the Ring Road 2 intersection (HCMC) to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway intersection (Dong Nai). The investor VEC expects to basically complete it in 2026, contributing to reducing traffic congestion, especially when Long Thanh airport comes into operation. Long Thanh Bridge alone will be completed in the first quarter of 2027. In the picture, Minister of Finance - Nguyen Van Thang encourages and presents gifts to the construction team of the project to expand the first section of the HCMC - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
Nhon Trach Bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai opens to traffic

My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) held the inauguration ceremony of Project 1A including Nhon Trach Bridge, over 2 km long, and 8 km of Ring Road 3 connecting from DT.25B (Dong Nai) to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. Total investment capital is 6,900 billion VND.

From 7:00 a.m. on August 20, cars are allowed to travel on the route, except for trucks over 1.5 tons and passenger vans with 16 seats or more. Motorbikes are only allowed to travel on the DT.25B - Ly Tu Trong (Dong Nai) section, not across the bridge. Phase 2 is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, motorbikes will be allowed to travel across Nhon Trach Bridge, directly connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City.
Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway starts construction, shortening travel time to Da Lat

At Dau Giay intersection (Dong Nai), Thadico - Son Hai joint venture held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway (phase 1) under the PPP method. The project is 60 km long, has 4 lanes, and a total investment of nearly 8,500 billion VND. The starting point is at Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, the end point is at Tan Phu - Bao Loc section. Construction time is 24 months. When put into operation, the route will reduce the load on National Highway 20, shortening the transportation time between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat.
Groundbreaking ceremony of Tri An Hydropower Plant expansion

Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) started construction of the Tri An Hydropower Expansion Project in Dong Nai, with a total investment of over VND3,900 billion and an installed capacity of 200 MW. The project includes water channels, water intake gates, pressure pipes, factories and discharge channels. Unit 1 is expected to generate electricity in the third quarter of 2027, and Unit 2 in the fourth quarter of 2027. When completed, the project will supplement the power supply for the South, effectively utilize water resources, reduce CO2 emissions and lower national electricity production costs.
Vingroup starts construction of $3.5 billion urban area in Tay Ninh

Vingroup Corporation started construction of the Phuoc Vinh Tay new urban area project, covering nearly 1,090 hectares, with a total investment of about 3.5 billion USD. The project, invested by a consortium of Vinhomes and VIG, will provide 7,050 townhouses, 8,200 villas, 13,440 social housing units and 2,370 resettlement units, with a population of nearly 90,000 people. This is one of the largest urban areas bordering Ho Chi Minh City.
Groundbreaking ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway construction investment project

The expressway has a total length of 51 km, of which 24.7 km passes through Ho Chi Minh City and 26.3 km through Tay Ninh province. The starting point connects with Ring Road 3 in Phu Hoa Dong commune (Ho Chi Minh City), the end point is at the intersection of National Highway 22, Ben Cau commune (Tay Ninh), about 7 km from Moc Bai international border gate. The project is designed according to expressway standards with a maximum speed of 120 km/h. Phase 1 will build 4 complete lanes, with an intelligent traffic system, toll stations and synchronous auxiliary works. The total investment is 19,617 billion VND.
Construction of 209 HUD social housing units in Ho Chi Minh City started

HUD started construction of 209 social housing apartments in Hiep Binh ward, with a total investment of more than 387 billion VND. The project consists of 3 blocks of 7-storey buildings, integrating commercial facilities, parking lots, swimming pools and modern security systems. This is one of the first projects to apply Resolution 201 of the National Assembly, contributing to the completion of the target of developing 13,040 social housing units in 2025.
