The Korean Embassy in Vietnam successfully organized the "Korean Game Week 2023" program at Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU) on November 24-25.

The program is organized by the Korean Cultural Center and sponsored by representative Korean game companies such as NEXON, NCSOFT, PEARLABYSS... and the Korean Game Culture Foundation.

Programme This year attracted the participation of more than 5,000 students, university students, lovers and enthusiasts of game culture and information technology.

The program includes a series of diverse K-game experience activities such as exhibitions of typical games from Korean and Vietnamese game companies, lectures on the game field and e-sports industry, E-sports competitions for students, game character costume performances, talk shows with famous gamers in Vietnam... thereby attracting great attention from a large number of game fans in Vietnam.

The two-day lecture on the Korean gaming industry with the participation of famous speakers such as Head of the Korean Gaming Culture Foundation Cho Soo Hyun, CEO of NCSOFT Jang Hyun Young, Secretary General of the Korean e-Sports Association Kim Cheolhag attracted the participation of more than 750 ICT students in the Da Nang area.

At the final round of the talent search contest for game planning and programming for students, the audience at the program gave big applause for the smart and creative ideas of the contestants.

In the end, the highest prize went to contestant Nguyen Lam Tuong, a student at the University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City National University, with the idea of ​​developing a game to learn Korean letters naturally when players transform into witches protecting the castle from the invasion of ferocious monsters.

In addition, the final round of the PUBG Mobile E-sport competition for students was held right on the program stage with the participation of 12 teams (48 contestants) who excellently passed the preliminary round (88 contestants from 22 teams).

The final round of the E-sport competition took place in an extremely exciting atmosphere, making the audience feel like they were watching a broadcast of a competition between famous professional gamers.

In addition, the talk show to exchange and compete with gamers and streamers (Korean game PUBG Mobile) with guest Streamer Ngan Sat Thu and Gamer ABCT36 - famous KOLs in Vietnam also received great attention and encouragement from a large audience.

Ambassador Choi Youngsam said: "The meeting between Vietnam - a country with a large population and remarkable development in the ICT industry and Korea - a country leading the global gaming industry will create a great and meaningful synergy effect.
