Korean media reported extensively on General Secretary To Lam's visit.

According to Yonhap, General Secretary To Lam's state visit is the first visit by a foreign leader to South Korea since President Lee Jae Myung took office last June.

On August 12, the Korean media continued to report extensively on the activities during the State visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to the Republic of Korea from August 10-13.

According to Yonhap news agency, General Secretary To Lam's state visit is the first visit by a foreign leader to South Korea since President Lee Jae Myung took office last June.

During the visit, General Secretary To Lam visited Yonsei University and delivered a policy speech there. On this occasion, Professor Yoon Dong Sup - President of Yonsei University - awarded an honorary doctorate to General Secretary To Lam.

On the same day, koreaherald.com published an article highlighting the cooperation between Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, KIRA Company and LG CNS Company in the field of data centers, including the possibility of jointly investing in developing a data center in Vietnam with an initial capacity of 20-30MW, as well as jointly operating and providing data center services in the Vietnamese market.

The article also highlights the Vietnamese Government's priority in promoting digital transformation and developing the digital economy .

In addition, koreaherald.com also reported that Vietnam and South Korea pledged to strengthen cooperation in the fields of high technology, supply chain and energy.

At the Vietnam-Korea Economic Forum held on August 12, the two sides pledged to promote and implement effective measures to achieve the target of bilateral trade turnover reaching 150 billion USD by 2030.

In addition, the Korean media also reported on the "Vietnam-Korea Seminar on Cooperation in Developing Cultural Industries," co-chaired by Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Korean Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Chae Hwi Young, in which managers, experts and businesses of the two countries exchanged experiences, shared cooperation needs and proposed policies to support businesses./.
