Ms. Huong was a victim of the Phong Chau Bridge collapse (Phu Tho) that occurred on the morning of September 9. After completing the legal procedures, Ms. Huong's family cremated her body and deposited her ashes at the Universe Crematorium. Ms. Huong's relatives are waiting to find the body of Mr. Luong Xuan Thanh (56 years old, Ms. Huong's husband) and will organize a burial for both of them. "The family's wish is to find Mr. Thanh's body and organize a burial for both of them. Previously, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Cuong, Commander of the Phu Tho Provincial Military Command, said that the Phu Tho Provincial Police had mobilized divers to dive into the Red River to verify and search for victims as well as vehicles and motorbikes in the Phong Chau Bridge collapse. The Colonel said that there may be bodies trapped in vehicles that fell into the Red River. The authorities have also mobilized ferries with river cranes and construction vehicles with cranes capable of salvaging heavy-duty vehicles submerged in the river. According to Colonel Cuong, when the flow rate and the depth of the river are at an acceptable level, the army will install pontoon bridges for people to travel conveniently. As reported, at around 10:00 a.m. on September 9, Phong Chau Bridge in Phu Tho Province suddenly collapsed, causing two bridge piers to fall into the Red River.
