In many programs and plans implemented, the Vietnam Journalists Association always wishes to create a playground for journalists to gather, exchange and connect with each other. Not only for sports training, sports activities also create an environment for amateur athletes to affirm their strong love for table tennis, thereby contributing to creating solidarity with colleagues in their agencies and other units.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed: " The Vietnam Journalists Association believes that this year's tournament will continue to spread and affirm the growth of the sports movement in all levels of the Association and press agencies, truly becoming a festival for journalists nationwide, creating the premise for the success of the following seasons ."

The Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association also asked the participating athletes to promote solidarity, compete honestly, demonstrate a noble spirit, dedicate to the audience good and attractive matches, create cultural beauty in sports, and select excellent teams and athletes to stand on the podium to receive the Championship Cup and medals of the Tournament.

As usual, the tournament always attracts hundreds of athletes from many provinces and cities across the country. This year, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation is the farthest delegation and is also one of the most evenly matched teams. In addition, there are a number of other relatively strong delegations such as: Voice of Vietnam Journalists Association, Ministry of Public Security Journalists Association and a number of major press agencies... The delegation with the largest number of athletes participating is Vietnam Television, which registered to participate with 27 athletes, followed by Voice of Vietnam Journalists Association with 21 athletes...

In recent years, the highlight of the tournament has been the presence of many new faces with surprising tactics, creating the attraction of the tournament. Young athletes have learned how to compete with experienced experts, all promising to create attractive matches for the audience and a successful season.

Like many colleagues, after working hours with news, events, articles with lots of pressure and challenges, journalist Khong Dang Ha (Ministry of Public Security Journalists Association) spends time practicing, especially in the days leading up to the Tournament, he and his colleagues gather together to practice together, creating an exciting atmosphere for the competition day.

With many consecutive years of winning the Men's Team Championship Cup and other events, this year the Ministry of Public Security Journalists Association continues to have good preparation, with special tactics, expecting to conquer the strongest and most formidable opponents of the tournament. Each member of the team will strive to compete with all their might and is confident that their unit will win many high prizes for their collective.

Journalist Khong Dang Ha said: As journalists in the people's armed forces, in addition to having to fulfill their political tasks well, he and his colleagues always spend time practicing to participate in tournaments inside and outside the Public Security sector, including the Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Tournament. Receiving encouragement and close attention from the unit's leaders, over the years, the team has always participated in tournaments organized by the Journalists Association and always won many gold medals in different categories. Colleagues still jokingly say that this is the "tradition" of the Ministry of Public Security Journalists Association. However, with many achievements comes great pressure. Participating in this year's tournament, the athletes from the Ministry of Public Security Journalists Association have prepared extremely carefully to protect the "tradition" of the team.

Although the tournament is for journalists and reporters, it is not a professional tournament for professional athletes. However, the Organizing Committee always tries to organize the tournament in the most professional way. So that each athlete can compete to the best of their abilities and develop their strengths. During the implementation of the tournament, the Organizing Committee listened to comments and contributions to gradually improve the tournament regulations, prize structure, and competition content so that the tournament is truly attractive and appealing to participating journalists.

Over the past 16 years, the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Tournament has constantly innovated, with many methods to improve expertise, creating attraction and exciting competition among athletes of all delegations.

Continuing the successes of previous years, the 16th Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Tournament - 2023 attracted a large number of athletes from participating delegations - this is considered a very encouraging signal, ensuring the number of athletes, promising exciting and unique matches.

Of course, over many seasons, the Organizing Committee always hopes to have more athletes participating, but due to geographical conditions, many press units do not have the conditions to participate in the tournament, such as: the provinces of the Southwest, the Central Highlands region. Many journalist members participating this year hope that from the following tournaments, the Organizing Committee will coordinate with the units to have support policies for units from far away to participate, thereby helping the tournament to be more complete and exciting.

This year's organization work was also highly appreciated by the units. The Organizing Committee has made innovations and is more flexible in applying digital technology to connect each member in the process of preparing for the tournament, implementing online lottery or receiving opinions from the delegations is also implemented scientifically. The Organizing Committee also established zalo groups specifically for delegation leaders as well as athletes, this has helped the delegations to proactively arrange their time, I see that the preparation activities of the Organizing Committee show clarity, openness and transparency.

It can be said that the Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Tournament is one of the biggest sports tournaments of the year for journalists, so the Journalists Association at all levels and press agencies have paid attention to and encouraged, creating a vibrant table tennis movement from the grassroots, and the passion for table tennis of the members has been further strengthened. The tournament has been, is and continues to be an attractive playground for members and journalists to participate in competitions, arousing their passion for sports, improving their health, and strengthening solidarity and colleagues in the press; thereby creating motivation to help journalists have more love for their profession, strive to fulfill well the political tasks and responsibilities of the press to society.
