In the past month, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have paid special attention to the direction and implementation of key projects. The Provincial People's Committee has organized many thematic meetings, promptly giving opinions and directions on handling difficulties and obstacles in completing investment procedures, site clearance and tasks according to regulations. Thanks to that, a number of projects have had positive changes in progress.

At the conference, the Steering Committee's Working Group reported on the implementation of key projects including: New urban housing development project in Tan Binh commune and Tien Phong ward; residential area project in Dong Hoa commune (Thai Binh city); central urban area project along Tra Ly river in Le Hong Phong ward and Bo Xuyen ward; Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant project.

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Steering Committee, acknowledged the efforts of all levels and sectors in implementing key projects in the past time. He emphasized: Key projects play a particularly important role, when completed, they will create a driving force to promote socio-economic development and make a clear mark in the development picture of the province.

He requested that departments, branches, localities and units closely follow the direction of the Steering Committee, determine specific goals, enhance their sense of responsibility, demonstrate more determination, drasticness and urgency in implementation. In particular, pay special attention to coordination and information sharing between units, promptly remove bottlenecks in site clearance, investment procedures and construction organization.

The Provincial People's Committee needs to be more proactive in directing and urging implementation, clearly assigning responsibilities and specific deadlines to each department, branch and locality; assigning focal points responsible for closely monitoring the progress of each project. Districts and cities need to update and report progress weekly to promptly manage and handle arising problems. The goal is to soon have works and projects completed and put into use, creating development highlights in the shortest time.
